Multifunctional Shawl
Winner of the C&TA Shawl Design Challenge 2024, Norfolk Makers Festival. The shawl is in Norwich red and black, inspired by the 19th century Norwich textile industry.
Denim Dress
This dress was upcycled from old denim jeans. The theme was "Elements of Shirt", with this particular dress using shirt collars and a button stand. The detailing of the dress was inspired by the peacock.
Reversible Kimono
This Kimono was upcycled from old upholstery. The left side is for wearing in Autumn/Winter and the right side is for Spring/Summer.
Essence of Nature
This dress was inspired by the colours and patterns of nature. Designs were added through both hand painting and screen printing with machine embroidery.
Toddler's Dress
This sleeveless dress was made using devore velvet with cotton lining. It has a gathered skirt and the back has an invisible zipper.
Kandyan Saree
This is a traditional Sri Lankan kandyan saree made from red satin. The saree and jacket are intricately designed with gold net and thread.
